Typical patio contractors around the North Shore prepare their patio base by first excavating the area to the desired depth of around 4 inches. Once the excavation is complete, the contractor will use a product called base rock to create a solid, stable surface that will support the patio. It is important to dig at least twice as deep to ensure our final product lasts over twice as long. Once dug, we fill the space with crushed limestone, renowned for its durability and ability to promote the safe filtration and drainage of water from the property. To secure the entire structure, we employ Perma-Edge Technology, a superior option to regular plastic edging, along with G2 polymeric sand to finish it off.
