TimberTech Decking / AZEK Decking
TimberTech/ AZEK Decking and Builder Material
TimberTech and Azek were originally two separate companies that banded together to provide an inclusive destination for homeowners interested in building their very own low-maintenance space. Together, TimberTech and Azek are able to grow their collection of colors, finishes and features to help you fully realize the outdoor project of your dreams.
TimberTech and Azek were both started with one goal in mind – to provide an outdoor living space for homeowners that only a deck can, but without the consistent headache and expenditure of a wood deck. Over 25 years ago, TimberTech developed their first composite board and have consistently set the industry standard since.
TimberTech Decking Products
TimberTech’s lines of decking are all made of composite material – a mixture of recycled wood and plastic. This mixture allows TimberTech decking to not only be extremely eco-friendly, but gives the boards’ the realistic finish of wood as well. Between finishes like Straight Grain, Hand-Scraped Finish, Crosscut Grain and more, your new composite deck will look the part of a Midwest deck.
TimberTech has five main collections for composite decking: Edge Prime+, Premier, Terrain, Reserve, and Legacy. Each line has its own unique color selections; in 2023, Whitewash Cedar of the Legacy Collection, and Driftwood of the Reserve Collection, were among the two most popular colors in all of composite decking. The colors range from remarkable shades of browns to eye-catching greys, with so many variations of colors in between.
TimberTech’s warranties are some of the strongest and most reliable in outdoor construction. The Prime+ and Premier collections both carry a 25-year product, and fade and stain warranty. If a board cracks, stains or fades, you will have peace of mind that you will be able to get the board swapped out and looking great again. The Legacy, Reserve and Terrain collections all support a 30-year product warranty, as well as the 30-year fade and stain warranty. Not only will your deck look incredible and be low-maintenance – your project’s integrity will be supported by TimberTech and Azek for years to come.

AZEK PVC Decking Products
All of the Azek lines of decking are manufactured using ‘Advanced PVC’ – decking that is exclusively recycled plastic, with no wood fibers mixed in whatsoever. This allows the decking to be highly resistant to mold buildup and outdoor temperature changes. Due to the nature of its composition, these deck boards do not retain as much heat as a composite or wood deck board, making them much cooler in direct sunlight. Azek PVC decking will also cool down in shade much more rapidly than a comparative composite or wood decking board.
Azek Collections include Vintage, Landmark, Harvest, and a specialty collection for front, back and side porches. French White Oak and Castle Gate, two colors in the Landmark collection, have taken the nation by storm since being introduced. English Walnut, a color in the Vintage collection, continues to be a very popular choice year-in and year-out. Azek decking sports a 50-year product warranty, as well as a 50-year stain and fade warranty. This warranty is consistent on any type of Azek decking line.

TimberTech and AZEK deck cleaning
Both Azek and TimberTech are best known for their ease of care. While a composite or PVC deck is more expensive to install than a wood deck, because of their low-maintenance natures, these decks end up costing less time, money and headspace than a wood deck. The only maintenance required on a TimberTech Azek deck is a hose or power wash, whenever the homeowner sees fit. Usually, this wash comes after a night of entertaining, a muddy season, or after a winter thaw. There is no necessity for any additional staining, sanding, scraping, or painting like a wood deck. There is no danger of boards splintering, causing safety issues for family, friends and kids. A TimberTech Azek deck is truly a credit to your house, in both the way you’ll enjoy it and the ease of which you can keep it looking new.
